Thought you guys might like this. It's in Asheboro NC. Been around since I was racing quads back in the 80's. I figured it had closed but apparently not. As you can see bikes all around the shop. Looks like a ton of stuff inside just looking in the window. A friend of mine said he had all kinda stuff at his house too. I'll try to get down there this week when he's open and get more pics and info.

I don't want to trespass on your claim, But I'd be more than happy to make a road trip from Richmond to take a look and see what I can find, I love junkyards my old lady calls me crazy all the time I could spend the day just looking around and taking pictures, usually its old cars/trucks but then I've never really came across a pile of trikes quite like that before... If you don't mind, after you take another look and feel the guy out, let me/us know I don't mind paying a fair price, I'm not expecting freebies, and there has to be some oddball trinkets in a pile that big...

i bet within a week all the trike stuff is going to be gone. 3ww has that reputation. theres lots of good parts there and full trikes, that 250r i would snatch real quick and get it running then the other parts bikes would either be restored or sold for profit.

forgot to bring up that pipe on the quad, high dollar there.

01-09-2011, 11:53 PM

swifty
01-10-2011, 12:15 PM
im with xowner theres a reason most all those trikes are pretty complete or that much stuff is there its way over priced otherwise it would be picked over and gone theres no hope of buying say one of those parts machines for even like $400 im sure he wants $90 for a rusty smashed gas tank maybe im wrong but ive seen this many times before and that tha vibe im getting but its definitly a cool place someone check it out and see what prices are like and let us know

Stuff left outside is usually junk, but worth checking it out; Just don't get too amped up about it.

This thread just makes me depressed, just a waste.

Apart from the R's and the 70, nothin else much tickled my fancy, but there are a whole lot of 200X's in that lot. Perhaps I'm focusing on the 250cc two strokes a bit too much. 200'x were the the backbone of the sport at one point. When I was a kid, all I wanted was one of those puppies.

I think from a restoration point of view the 200x must be one of the best starting points out there. They have got full suspension, disk brakes, the chinese make electric start 200cc engines that just bolt into these chassis, and they were always fun to ride. Imagine if all your mates had 200'x. That rubbish tip could be the start of the next movment in our hobby... revival of the mighty 200X! Stuff ATC70 racing, lets all go 200X racing......
