hey all, this is a feeler thread to see if there would be any interest in getting some extended swingers made up for the 2nd gen r's. ive been talking with billy golightly recently because of all the custom swingers he's been fabbing up. im rebuilding my 84r from the ground up and just hate the stock swinger. we were thinking that it would take at least up to ten to make it worth billy's while, so lets see what kind of interest we can get.

Is there a figure so we know where we are starting from? I would deffinatly post over at airfoolers.com , I know for sure there are a few guys there that were talking about it. Good luck!

This isn't a cheap sport. I'd be willing to bet that they're 300-500$ a pop.
PONY UP fella's!! :D

well after a little searching i found a guy from airfoolers that is willing to extend the stocker shipped back to yoy for 225. waiting on some pics to make sure his work is up to par but he seems to have some great feedback. it was looking like it would be just under 500 to have them fabbed from scratch and we still need to get up to ten people on board. this may be a tough feat to accomplish. i will find a way.

Basically, if you want a really bad ass arm like the arched one I made or the west coast style, its $400 raw. Powdercoating is about $60. Shipping $25. These are all rough estimates. If you want something straight forward and simple, just a 1.5in straight round tube armed, I can do them for like $250, raw. Powdercoat and shipping prices about the same.

225$ just to extend is too much. I can do better than that...........

ah ha well then that changes things. im not looking for a crazy arm like the one you made recently bill although it was bretty bad ass. i would be interested in a plain ole round one 2+. i can do my own powdercoat so it could be in the raw. but again you need more than just one so

Wow . I should be taken advantage of my resources then : I work at a place that has a tool & die shop , weld shop , machine shop , and powder coat line all in one place. I was told to bring my stock swingarm in and get it extended but never got around to taken it off. I know they will just put it in a jig , chop it and at to it . Then i could have it powder coated any color , For free !
