One important thing on small engines is to use a hose adapter that has the same reach as your spark plug (usually 3/4"). some adapters are short(3/8") and will add false volume to your chamber thus loweing your cranking numbers.. test your guage setup once in a while on a engine that makes even more compression than your bike to make sure your schraeder valves are holding the pressure.. for example if your guage read 170lbs on every engine that you put it on.. you need to check the valves.. and always use the same guage to ensure you get accurate comparisons.

I have an Actron kit that was about $40. It has the adapters for the small engine spark plug holes. Some kits that are around $20 only have the adapters for larger auto plug holes and you won't be able to use them on your trikes.

I think I have a MAC with a cone shaped rubber tip so it fits everything.
Won't account for the extra combustion volume as mentioned above but it's fast
and can also be a pain to hold it on a back cylinder under a hood without help
