I am in desperate need of an exhaust for my 83 big red 200. Have looked for a good aftermarket, bu no luck. If you know of a good site or you have one, let me know. Thanks in advance.

i don't know of any places in the states but i do know that there is cobra exhaust available for the 83 big red, did you go to your nearest dealer and ask them about a exhaust?

I have a stock one off of a 200x, with a pipe as well. If you feel like doing a bit of mods should work fine. PM me if you want. I'll make it cheaper than cheap!

I used an X headpipe because it was longer and larger diameter than the stocker, and I modified a twin cylinder riding mower muffler with a 2 3/8 id x 6" chain link fence pipe union that I welded to my mocked up muffler, and a 1 1/2 id x 1 3/8 od adapter from autozone that fit super tight on the head pipe so the two could slip apart if necessary. I also welded 2 tabs on my frame for the new can, super quiet and cost me about $8 for the pieces of pipe and a free muffler from your local lawnmower repair shop.

I got tired of looking for a good quiet replacement and the 200x pipe was 1/8 bigger id than the stocker.
