I have read that the starter doesn't clear the down tube. But maybe there are more clearance or other issues with this swap. Obviously the wiring harness would have to be swapped over, and a battery tray would need to be installed.
If the only thing that has to be modified is the down tube this would we an awesome swap, electric start, HI/LO, motocross suspension. The Big Red 200autoX, that would be one sweet trail machine.

Do you have any pictures of it? Did you notch out the frame to allow the starter to clear and weld and reinforce? How did it work out? Love the FatCat 250SX, that is awesome. There is a guy who has a 200E and 110 he wants to get rid of and my 200X engine is blown and the cases got cracked when the previous owner neglected the chain.

I had one in my 200x. Since the motor was pull start also, we just took the starter out and made a block off plate to cover the starter hole. Worked good and didn't have to mod the frame.

No not going to go that route. But its not much clearance that it needs then. I want to keep the electric start.

if I remembber.....we bolt the motor (starter removed)in the frame with the stock mount, including the front mount, heat the frame with a torch and simply bent the frame with a 5 feet pry bar.....
