I was wondering if anyone out there had a choke lever for a 1985 tri moto 225, the metal rod is there, i just do not have the lever, i have to use vice grips to hold the choke out.

also, just a mind bottler, it does not have reverse but the dash has a reverse light and the fender says 225 dr, what would seem more logical? replace plastics and dash or swap drive train?

Not to question your intelligence, but are you sure your machine does not have reverse? There should be a lever on the left hand side of the engine, you pull it backwards while in first. Maybe the handle itself is missing.

Instructions are on page 93 of the owner's manual.

If you post frame vin and engine serial number, we can figure out exactly what you have going there.

As far as the plastics or drive train (if they are wrong) why change either? Get on it and ride.

i am pretty sure it does not have reverse, no handle, not bracket sticking up to hold the handle, and no rod to shift in and out of reverse and forward, and part of the vin is rusted away it is barley possibe to see, but i am still trying to figure it out, also, are you looking for the number on the crank?

The engine serial number is stamped on the top, right side of the crankcase, behind the cylinder.

On Old 3WW under the specs it lists the 86 225 as the only one that had reverse. I have been looking for one for a while.
