What suspension upgrades can you do on a 84R ? I would like to upgrade rear and forks , someone told me to turn the forks around for more travel  . I dunno much about upgrading the suspension , as in what other forks will work as well as other rear shocks that will bolt up . Any input would be great .
Thanks

All I can tell you for sure is do not turn your forks around. The only thing that will accomplish will be a trike that doesn't handle right.

Aftermarket rear shocks are very hard to find, and I am unaware of another shock off a different machine that will bolt right up. For the front suspension, however, you can use the newer 85/86 250R front suspension - it is much beefier, and longer travel than the stock 83-84. In order to do this, you will need the entire front end (forks and tripples) It is well worth it, especially if you are a larger rider, or are hitting jumps and bottoming out with the stock set up. I dont think the stock set up is that bad for that machine though, unless the fork seals and rear shock are in need of a rebuild. Good luck!

If you have been jumping your 84R ,look for cracks above the foot pegs, had to reweld them and the front of the frame on the down tubes, my frame was weak....Beets
