So my 250r repair job has turned into a restoration. However, I'm pretty cheap. This led to my decision to take the road less traveled and paint the tank Honda Orange instead of Red. What do you guys think? (Yes the frame will match)

Heck ya. Obvious my two favorite colors, orange and green. Cincinati Bengals, Tony Stewart (back in the day), and my old rodeo chaps sported metalic green. Orange is the coolest color on any type of vehicle. Good choice.

I have to agree, that is pretty sweet. I keep trying to get away from original colors when i restore my 70 and 350x, but I am struggling. I want to do them in black and silver.

I like the orange as well. White or Black plastics would make it pop!

I have a lot the old dirt bike orange paint. Trike is an 81, but decals are from the 84 i think, hence the blue. I may just stick with orange and blue for the entire project. Might look like a jack jerk if i keep frame and fenders red with orange tank. Thanks for the feed back, kinda felt like I was making a big mistake with the orange.

Swifty: chrome rims. They look good regardless of the trike.

Wizard: I've seen some black 350X's and they are mean looking!

I totally agree, folk don't really count his open-wheel championships, or how formula 1 etc., etc., lobbied for him. He chooses stock cars, but can drive any course any car. (I have no bragging rights on the Bengals, lol!) & of course that's sweet Mr. Mielke!

Everything is painted. Engine, axle, triple tree are blue. Forks, frame, plastics and swing arm are orange. Just need a front fender and blue seat to finish.
I doubt mine will perform to the degree of the Mr. Meilkes Crush, but i hope it will turn heads just the same.
I'll need to start a new thread for some before/during/ after.
Thanks again.
