While removing the head pipe, I broke 3 out of the four bolts that hold the pipe to the head. Anyone else do this and how did you remove the bolt from the head? i tried heating it up, but it still would not move. I still have thread that i can grab with Vice grips on two of the three.
Any thoughts as to how to remove them withoout causing damage to the head?
Thanks for your help!

Dc does work on removing them putting new stainless steel studs in place. Really your best option

Yep. Send a message to Dirtcrasher. There's really not a whole lot of other options. Guy does top-notch work anyways.

People try heat + vice grips if there's enough to grab, EZ-Outs, welding a nut to any stud left, nothing works. In fact, things seem to get worse every time. Castings break, EZ outs/drill bits get broken and stuck, heads become un-fixable, etc....

The only reliable way is to send it to Dirtcrasher. These heads are worth their weight in gold, so you need to be careful with them.

DC did mine. Still need to pick it up. but it comes with 4 brand new stainless steel studs. Those shouldn't break.

It almost seems like you guys would be better off cutting the headpipes and sending the whole thing to Steve before you bugger 'em up.
