(video) When 3 Wheelers Attack (http://s53.photobucket.com/albums/g76/Bretmd94/?action=view¤t=When3wheelersattack.mp4)
This Video is from the same weekend as the US-90 video, A very nice December weekend on the Oregon Dunes.
It features some obnoxious 80's music and poor editing, with some solid three wheeled Riding.
In case you missed the 90 video:

Much of the footage is shot between Saunders and Spinreel. The weather was incredible for December! We just picked up another Gopro for the next trip! Next time we promise some drag race action. Bretmd94 is in the the process of putting a +3 swingarm and STU Sand Skate 1s on his R so we will be running an equal setup- it should be interesting!

I feel like there is a lot to the ending and how it shows Ezmoney's wife rolling her quad. It was the only rollover of the weekend. It's a sad reminder to me of how this country misjudged three wheelers in the 80's. As long as trikes are ridden with respect of their unique handling, they are not a threat. Quads are just as dangerous, motorcycles (dirt and street) are even more complex and tougher to ride making them more dangerous for an amateur rider.
Bottom line, Amateur riders should be on slow bikes to start on and learn the feel of the bikes. Just because the typical rider may be an adult, this is no excuse to go jump right onto a Crf450r, a GSXR600 or 1000, an ATC250R, or a YZF450R quad with out a feel for that typical type of bike.

That was an awesome video guys. Just made me feel good. Terrible weather here, 20-30 m.p.h. winds (just miserable), and that video made me ride to the post office to pick up parts. My son tips over every time he gets on a quad, just to dangerous for him, so I totally agree with ya (have tons of stories when riding with 4-wheelers), but as you said, folk need to be careful on anything, heck, nothin' would be fun if it wasn't a tad dangerous though, lol. Great 3-wheelers gentleman, & can see your riding area is effin' incredible! Thanks for posting this one up.

We got really lucky on the weather. I am getting good at spotting the nice winter weather on the coast. I know what you are saying though. The building we are working on plumbing and heating atm is a 10 story hotel/casino in Pendleton, OR. It's open, flat, windy, and very cold right now. Very happy to be in the office drawing plans in Medford.
I take for granted that riding area. I have ridden those dunes my whole life. It was a bit choppy out, it always is in the winter. I know the area well enough to have some lesser know spots in my back pocket (most the sideways action on smooth sand)
Still want to do a 3 wheeler meet on these dunes!

Make it happen! I'll do what I can to be there..
+3 on the Kawi? trying to decide whether to do +2 or +3 on mine. I just mounted up my new sand shark II's last night. I hope they slide well enough..

I will keep the idea in the works. I'm sure it will have to be late spring/summer to ensure good weather.
EZmoney has a +4" swinger I believe. He was still able to slide well with the sand skate 1's as the video shows, though the paddles only have about 50% tread left.
The swingarm I have for my 250r is a modified stock one that is +3. Still need to put that on....

My group is already itching for a "nice weather ride" after the slop fest at thanksgiving so it won't be difficult to get them to go... Just mine and a h20 250r in that group as far as 3-wheelers go.

Yeah mine is a +4. Slides sweet with STU sand skate 1s and being a little over 50" wide. To be honest I had no idea of what to expect. I had been mainly riding my YFZ out there for the past few years and I only had about an hour or so of seat time on the T3 and that was years and years ago. Also having added a hybrid rear shock and having just finished putting it back together added to the mystery................ Well I must say it only took about 30 seconds of riding for me to complely forget about the YFZ. Dont get me wrong, the newer quads are awesome in their own right and very fast but there is just something about drifting around on three wheels. It is just more......FUN! It is also a pleasure to blow away people who think that you are riding a 25 year old, inferior machine. They are so sadly mistaken;)

My group will probably push for Winchester bay for the next ride since we were just at Florence and the last few before that were at Coos..
I spent more time on my 3 wheeler than I did on my Banshee at Florence I think..It's nice having others on 3 wheels too...It is fun and I'm getting more comfortable on it...I think i'm gonna go for +3 and maybe get some 4/156 wheel spacers to widen it.
