Sorry, but my search didnt work.-Can someone tell me how many parts does the 89' update kit come with when you buy one? Is it 3 pieces? I got these parts from a used trx motor but dont know if I'm missing something to convert my 85' 250r. I got the outer hub, the flat needle bearing , and the piece in the center of the hub that the flat needle bearing rides against. Is that all I need?- No thin washers right? The long rod is the same right? Anything else? Any help please?........Happy Holidays to all!

please?.......am I missing a washer or something?
I am pretty sure that the long push rod is required from the 89 to make it all work right.

If your that concerned, call Service Honda and tell them you have an updated TRX 250R kit and you'd like a breakdown of the parts and part numbers. A local dealer could do the same.....
The most important part was the needle bearing, I'm unsure if you can use the old rod and ball versus the longer rod.
The post/topic is here, I just can't find it!................
Don't put it in until you get it straightened out.

This is the lookup for the 89 TRX clutch. It shows early/late system used. Oddly tho,-it shows 3 variations?-Not 2??? The top style is what I trying to convert to from the old type- (the style on the bottom)...Not sure what the middle style is all about?- never seen that?..... Anyway, The rod #(14) appears the same versus the 85-86 atc.(even tho it comes with the update kit). The clutch lifter is different- #10/#11 (I got that), and the flat round needle bearing #24/#28 (I got that), It shows only one type outer hub- but I know it was slightly different in the center (I got that)... Looks like I'm good by lookin at the top illustration I guess. But I just wanted to make sure before I put it in. And have someone tellin me I'm missing a washer or 2-but I dont think so. Just wanted to clear this up-thanks for the replies....
