I own the trike that 5 year old Bringahm? Krahn rode in that video and that race. The sticker is still on the trike. Padded rear grab bar (same) electrical taped handlebar pad (same). There have been a few modifications to it since the race, at least the different tank now, it's off of a CR. I didn't get a lot of good looks of the trike in the video. I have emails from his father and can put you in touch with him if you'd like. Check out the search engine on 3ww for "racer 70 in seattle" in the classifieds. It is a 104cc and the story I got from the old man has been validated by this video. I still have it! Been trying to sell it to one of you guys for like a year now. Does anyone still want it? Do you want it more now? It is the piece of history I stated and this now proves it. I listed the wrong race it was in and KASEY called me out on it. I saved the trike when I saw a local Craigslist ad over a year ago and spoke to the dad. He convinced me it was a vintage racer so I went and grabbed it. I'm restoring other trikes and never really had an interest in this 70 - PM me if you want it.

83'?. Jimmy White was on a Tecate. Was this the factory introduction? Someone explain. When was this? I am very interested in some information and I know someone will know what peaked my intrest here.

It's a pre production 84 from the factory.. That would be my guess.

That's the one. Details are in the classified section. It needs the carb and to be gone through completely, but other than that it's all there. Wanna buy it? I need the cash to get my Tecate project in motion.

Well that's cool. I researched and read all I could find. I knew that in 83' they tried introducing them to desert racing and epically failed, broken frames and bad suspension. Motor was pretty dialed though. I never knew of the Santa Cruz moto. Fun. If anyone finds one on the 85' San Jose race it'd be pretty cool. The guy that sold me my Tecate, John Rogers, raced in one of his 1st races there and I haven't found any history on it yet. Very cool videos. I think I have watched them 3x's each. Fun.

I also sent Billy a number of old photos from a photo album I have. The photos are all from magazines or newspapers. He plans to make them available as soon as he can as they are not in the greatest condition.
