hows it going every body merry Christmas. im semi new the trike world had 84 250r about 17 years ago but sold , and like every one else i always wanted 85 or 85. well i finally got an 85 to do up as a winter project. plan is to do every thing back to showroom or better to best of my ability. i have found a ton of great info on this site, (it rules). love the old racing stuff.any way i just started looking for oem plastics and i cant confirm on weather they are discountiuned ? some places show them on ther parts fich with price and others say discountiuned . i found alocal guy that has full set rear fender front, headlight, and tank shourds, but he is asking $1200. that seems a bit hight but if . well real high but i dont know. any info or input would be great. also im looking for code for powder coat to match oem passion red. is ther one? thanks every body :crazy:

Thats not high if it's DC'd and I bet it all is. 1200$ is high if your gonna ride it, otherwise it's cheap if it's all gone.

If your gonna ride it, MAIER is just fine. Sometimes people don't care for the red so they go black/white etc etc.

Any good PC shop will have a chart or KNOW whats near spot on. Contact Buster Brown, he's got a huge oven and does great work along with being a great guy.......

from what I've seen $1200 is about right if they are NOS, they are discontinued as OEM. For a good used set you might be able to pick it up for 5-600 if you are patient enough. Keep an eye on the classifieds here, thats how I scored my oem front and rear fenders for my 350x. May also be cheaper to piece meal everything as there tends to be a premium for a complete set used or otherwise.

Welcome fellow Masshole. Buy yourself some aftermarket (Maier) fenders and call it a day.
