this stator was hit with a loose magnet. screws are bent and one coil is bent pretty good. should i try and straighten this coil or replace the coil? new screws of course. or leave it as is and run it?!

You got nothin to lose. Straighten it out and give it hell.
I'm not sure because its been four years since i last messed with mine but isn't the small coil the one for the lights? If it is and you don't have lights you can take it out. I didn't put mine back in.

yeah if anything at least straighten the coil out just to be sure of clearance issues once the flywheel is back on there. that smaller coil is the lighting coil, not the ones giving spark to the bike. throw it back together and and see what happens. you'll find out if you get 1.) spark still and 2.) if the light still works. and if it doesnt work and you want lights, its only a quick pull of the flywheel to replace them if need be. from the pictures im not seeing any broken coils in the copper wires where the electricity is produced.

Or you can order a replacement lighting coil.
I dont know if it would damage the lights. If the bulb blew, I would remove it.
