Is the plate the rear caliper hooks to suposed to move at all? Mine has some play when you wiggle it back and forth and forward to back.

the caliper floats on a pin and a sleeve so it can follow the disc ,nothing should be bound up. if all the bolts are tight and it can move a little thats ok,,,,85 and 86 plate setups are different , the caliper bracket on a 85 has a bolt with a bushing that bolts to the swingarm , make sure that bushing is still good. the 86 has a pin welded to the swinger also with a bushing that the caliper bracket floats on it might be warn out also check them out,,, its a good idea each time you do a little maintanence to relube the caliper pins,,, it will prolong your pad life too.......

I think that the bushing might be shot that's on the pin. Thanks for your help!
