alright, so ive got this machine apart and am rebuilding everything. having some trouble with the carrier. i bought another swingarm with a better carrier than what i have but the problem is the tabs for rotating are all busted. is there another carrier out there from a newer bike that will fit right in the stock 84 swinger? cant seem to find a good stocker. ive also posted this but can i buy new rubber inserts for the swinger?

Most of the time the carriers get damaged from using improper tools, especially when someone uses a hammer and punch or chizzel. I know that there is supposed to be a spanner wrench used to rotate the carrier, but 99% of people dont have one, including myself. I dont think any other carrier will fit in there correctly, besides 83-84 250R. I have seen some machined 83-84 carriers on ebay, and they usually sell for about 100 bucks. The 85 R carrier looks a lot similar, but I just dont think it would work. Which ruber inserts are you asking about? If you mean the axle seals, yeah they are available new. Good luck!

not the axle seals there are grooves in the swinger where the bolts are which clamp the carrier,

Oh, that rear grommet deal in the pinch area in the back - Im going to guess the part would not be available new, but the only place that would know is a Honda dealership.

ok another question. thinking about going another route. does anyone know it there is a complete swinger from another trike or even a newer quad that would bolt up?just trying to find other options. thanks

somebody was trying to swap a 450r swinger in one i think.it think it is a 480r build type deal.Btw did you get the parts bro?

oh ya thanks and whats up with the other shiat, keep those in your junk drawer. wasnt too fond of the mask tho
