250r stator question

is there a way to test the stator to see if it is good? (on 85 250r), and if so how?
I would like to know if it is bad or not before I spend the money for a new one.
Also does any one know if the raised spot on the fly wheel supposed to be megnetized?

there is an ohm check you can do, it is explained in the service manual.

if you have ohm meter call ricky stator theyll walk you thru testing it.ive did this many times and they can rebuild it like new with warranty way cheaper than oem with no warranty.theyve never did me wrong
