I've been putting a lot of work into my friends 250 Big Red. Its engine is on its last days I believe. I remember when I was changing the cylinder head, the cylinder didnt look too bad, but around the outside of the sleeve it was very jagged and not a clean seam like my other cylinders. This bike is getting oil in the airbox, it loses compression sometimes and it is running on the lean side. Are these symptoms related? Do anyone have a picture of a broken sleeve?
