could this be why my 2nd gear is clunking, and not driving? the second picture is what i pulled out of my 84 200x....the other pic is a good fork.

yes, that could be, i had 3rd gear not work on my 84 R before, tore it apart, found a fork that looked just like that, replaced it, and it worked perfect......it doesnt hold he gear completely and its loose it the fork so it clunks and misses
