Okay, new here and hope I'm in the right spot. I entered a other site bit there was not as many knowledgeable people in there that could help me. After reading a few threads on here I think I found the right place.

I was given a 82 200e Honda Bigred by my father the other day. He lost the key and basically didn't want anything to do with it anymore. Told me I could have it to remove it from his garage so he can put his new four Wheeler in there. The three Wheeler has sat four almost five years and ran great when put in storage. I put fresh gas in it although the gas that was in it had stable in it. I have a big goose egg in my wallet right now so spending any money is not an option at the presant. I changed the oil. Checked the air filter. The battery is no good so just took it out plan to start with the pull start.

I need to know what is the easiest and cheapest way to wire the key switch so I can just us the killswitch for off and on. I heard to just unplug a wire and someone else said to wire them all together. Which is it and what color wires will I unplug or wire together. I know some peoples rides are all ready hooked up this way. So any help on how to do this will be greatly appreciated. Remember I don't have any money and would like to get this thing going very shortly also I will not be using the starter.BC no battery.

check my sig for a link to download a manual for it. there you can see what wires to jumper across to bypass it.

Okay, so I basically wire the yellow and yellow and red. Plus disconnect the black and green. Someone please make sure I'm am right. Plus were is the easiest place to do this at the switch or other. I don't want to cut wires if I don't have to because if the key is found or I later desire to buy one for it. I would just like to plug and play so to speak.

Twist the Red and the Yellow with Red stripe, so it would seem from the book.

Yeah, but I would have to make sure black and green are not connected to each other also, via the switch right.

Do you have a multi meter? If so, do some simple continuity tests to figure out which wires to connect.

Yeah the black and green should make a sound. The other two will be the run wires. I still have to make sure the other two wires are not connected in any way right?

So just unplugging the key switch from the four wires and it will run? Is there a good place to do this? Or will I have to cut them at the switch. I rather not cut them. I wont be using the lights anyway because no battery.

Okay, guys figured it out. Two screws and unplug a few wires. I was amazed this thing fired on the second pull runs great and is faster than I thought it would be.
