Tecate 38mm throttle cables

What make length cable you Tecate guys using when converting over to the 38mm carbs?
I have a TM38 and are considering a replacement throttle as mine is worn badly.

Here's some pics of my setup. It's the stock twist throttle. There is an elbow on the carb cap.

Stock twist,hmmm.Thanks Doug, where did you get the elbow for that off what carb?

That looks like what I have. I'm going to have to figure this out too. Putting a 38 TM on the wife's Tecate. I'm goingm to check Motion Pro to see if they have a TM cable

I got a 38mm tmx mikuni for my 86 250R from ESR and I wanted stainless look cables to match my brake lines. I called Motion pro and had custom cables made. I had them made longer than stock so the clutch and throttle would both hang even unlike the stock cables. (I'm picky) they were $60 each or there may be something already premade that would work. The guy I talked to seemed knowledgeable. Pre made cables are only like $20. I was on trx250r.net and RMATV and sounds like to stay away from the streamline cables.

pantera, did you just tell them it was for a tmx carb with a stock throttle end?

Since the Quadracer came with a tm carb I think I'm going to try a new quadracer cable and a quadracer thumb throttle for the wife. The stock quadracer setup doesn't use an elbow at the carb cap. This would have been a lot easier 20 years ago when you could just buy the TM carb cable..
