bought a fmf megamax2 muffler from a 300ex ( just the muffler from a full system) from oldskool83, got around to installing it lastnight, very minimal work needed to get it on,

cut stock muffler off leaking as much pipe as possible, weld on a seconding of 2-3" worth of pipe ( atleast 2'' to get muffler body to clear the frame) weld it all up and bolt the mount to the grab bar mount,

my buddy welded it with a fluxcore wire welded, and his welding skills are lacking but it works

lol, no use for the header unless i wanna cut and weld and make a stepped header .. its a trail machine so im not worried about the little bit of power gains from a header, i just like the deep thump it has

I like the way your bike is set up man, I too was thinkeing about finding a 400ex pipe or 300ex pipe and makeing it fit on my 200x. Now that ive seen someone else do it I might just do so myself :D

with the exception of my buddys poor welding skills it worked out great, only had to add a 2" section of pipe to get it to sit where i wanted it and it sounds great, ill try and get a vid of it this week, i spent four and a half hours out riding the river today and the 200x only let me down once, i lost it doing a wheelie and bailed and landed knees first on rough ice, the megamax makes my little 200 sound bigger than it is, honestly i think it sounds better than the new 450s, no where the power but the sound is great
