Going with a friend to check one out tomorrow. Girl is asking 500 for it. So for 500, what should we expect for that price or what is to be expected?

For $500 it should be fairly complete. If it doesnt run then at least it should have compression and seem ready to go. As far as tires go, maybe you will get lucky!! If it has decent tires then out comes the wallet without a second thought. A good original seat is also a huge bonus also- a very nice OEM seat sold for $420 last week on Ebay.

Okay well we took some pics and looked it over. Seat and rear tires are good, doesnt run, fenders dented and cracked, and front tire no good, no kill switch, wouldnt start with bump starting, and tank is dented in.

Very comparable to the two bretmd94 and I bought a couple months ago. It appears to be very complete. I would buy it for $500. Once you get it running and ride it, you wont ever remember even spending the money!

I'm with ezmoney. Go for it. Maybe there's some room to move on it?

I hope whoever pays her 6 bills realizes the front tire is actually a rear pattern. $500.00 was on the steep end to start with. IMO

I'd tell her to pick a cheek.....

Because at that point she could kiss my ass.

I will buy it for 600. The back tires are in good condition. The seat is in good condition. Those are worth $600 alone. These bikes aren't going to get cheaper as time goes by.

There are better buys on these things because of people not understanding their worth. I don't think $600 is out of hand though, purely because you can part it out and double your money. I'm not into that sort of thing with these bikes personally though.
