86/87 Tecate overflow coolant bottle

I know this is a hard to come by part, but has anyone figured out a way to use a substitute bottle from some other machine? Or may a custom made part?

Just wondering since mine seems to be missing

alot of peoples are missing, it doesnt really affect anything in my opinion except appearance. i have 2 of them, one cracked and one missing a big chunk out of the side. would love to send them to someone to use them as a mold an have them reproduced, but not sure who would be able to do something like that because i believe they are blow mold injected.

YFZ450 coolant overflow reservoir was used on this build. He said it fits. Looks pretty good too..

I'm thinking about trying to use a Monster Energy can, it won't look original, but possibly cool. Functionally, the OEM bottle isn't worth much, IMO.

yfz450 mounted in different location looks pretty good. im going to try that. i did look into reproduction but its in the multiple thousands ~5 to do so.

scooterroo - if you are willing to foot the bill i have the contacts and can provide a perfect bottle to be reproduced...
