So I finally got everything dissasembled and it's all going ot the PC guy on Saturday Morning which got me excited but I recently noticed that I've yet to locate a silencer for my 85 Tecate. I've got a nice Bassani Pipe and was considering buying a universal FMF powercore silencer but thought I would see what people have done in the past..
Looking for Pics/Suggestions or what ever advice you got

Well, heck. You know I am going back to stock and always have been right on the bubble with passinga the sound test at Silver lake.
I'll post up a picture of the Nickle chromed Answere muffler I was running for you to think about.
Ain't got a clue as to the "worth" of it. I did re-pack it last year.
Spark arestor (sparky) will go with it since it is oval and stock is round.
Do you have a stock muffler Dan ???

I have to check mine again but I'm pretty sure it's in good shape. I got a Bead on another silencer that I'm going to use for now untill I find something exotic that I like more. I still owe you for that carb so I'll send you the silencer Saturday and just apply it towards my tab I owe you for the Carb

Looks fine, very fine Dan. appears to have the factory spark arrestor on it too (that's the little turn down piece on the end) ~ perfect.
My parts order is in from the kawi dealer and just to let you know the OEM connector for the head pipe to the muffler is still available. Not much to it, some kinda speacil rubber hose and 2 clamps but i wanted it for my white build.
I also ordered up a couple of extra muffler hangers for the head pipe so if you need one, give me a shout. They make dandy stocking stuffers :)

It does indeed have the Spark arrestor on it. Just be carefull it has quite a bit of oil inside it. I drained out as much as I could butI'm sure there isstill some inside. And thanks for the offer but I think I'm all set for parts at the moment except for my brakes cylinders but I'll worrk about that later
