school me on reeds

my jug is off getting bored and im here thinking what else i should do to my 82 250r while i have it torn down. what advantage would new reeds give me and what type do you reccomend? thanks guys

i have boyseen reeds on my 82, they make a noticable gain in throttle responce, if you really want to help that 82 find a 84 jugg for it, better ports and port timing,
