be sure to check craigslist ads..... thieves are not always the sharpest tool in the shed! good luck with finding the culprit.

i have been, i'm watching e-bay and a few others as well. they were quick and clean. only took the 125, didn't even touch the 2 riding mowers and other lawn equipment, A/C unit and GPS sitting in the car, which i happened to of left unlocked that night, oops.

Check all the close local woods around your place. Sometimes they are left and hidden to retrieve later. Sorry to hear about your trike being stolen.

That sux sorry to hear about your loss it looks like a realy nice trike too. Im not too far from your area if I see anything listed on any local classifieds or craigslist i'll let you know. I know theres alot of good riding close to you near the river and it might have been solen by some kids that wanted to joy ride it. If you can check the local trails you might find it. Hope you find your trike dude.

Jon Boy
12-06-2010, 08:19 PM
yeah, been freezing my butt off for the last 4-5 days checking the woods along the bike trails and along the river. figure if i find it at any spots like that it's gonna be gutted and stripped. just the thought of still being basicly all original is giving me the gut wrenches. i don't see it being found intact at all. if i'm lucky (still intact) and it's still around this area, it's gonna end up being a hacked Mad Max trike.

swampthang: cool, thanks that's good to know someone kinda close has got an eye out. as for kids joyriding, i don't think so. middle of the night, i'm in the middle of town, we (police and I) figure they loaded it in the alley on a truck or trailer and it looked to be a pretty quick and clean in/out. police are thinking same as me, they'd probibly been caseing it out. they knew what they wanted and what they needed to do to get it. nothing else was touched.

I know a guy that had his Rancher stolen and the kids that took it rode it about 30miles down the road till it ran out of gas and hid it in the bushes. The guy i got my 350x from said it was solen and found on the road the same way. Dont give up looking its somewhere it didnt just vanish into thin air.

i'm not giving up, i worked too hard and care about it too much. i'm not letting this go by any means. IMO, i'm just being realistic.

Jon Boy
12-07-2010, 05:46 PM
yeah, i think it was being cased out also. more than likely it is still in the local area, but Indiana is just right across the bridge leaving town. plus there's the movie rental place down the alley. atleast 15-20 cars a day come down the alley from there. even with all my landscaping it could be seen somewhat easily, especially when it might of been in the yard on a day i had it out. got a dusk to dawn light out there on a telephone pole too, guess it only gave them plenty of light to see what they were doing.

i was feeling restless yesterday so, i took a drive looking around. i had no idea there was so many trikes around here. bunch of 70-90's, quite a few 185-200's couple Big Reds and a 250X. a few were pretty nice, the rest were a little rough. the X was very rough though. never did see a 125 or a 110 and the ones i do know of, i know the owners.

BTW: dang, i think i need some TLC (Trike Loss Counceling) lol

12-09-2010, 01:56 PM
Why not put up a personal ad on craigslist, say for example, your willing to "barter" a lawnmower for a honda 3 wheeler, 125cc to use for pulling a towbehind mowerdeck. If it is locally still, with any luck, maybe they will bite and call you back, DO NOT let them come to your home, you can go "pick it up/drop it off". If someone does bite on it, make sure to bring an officer.

Also, on ebay, ask the sellers that have parts if anyone has ordered a new front end, in your area, for a 125M, or a 110, both should fit. Or you can scout by inquiring about specific parts, like the front end with the brackets, wouldn't it be nice to have a front end with mounting brackets for a beer cooler?

I have alot of friends in the southern IL area, I have asked all of them to open their eyes. I personally have had a great deal of things stolen from my barn over the parts 5 months. Some things have been recovered, some have not. But I now have a full security system in the barn, cameras and all. Thieves need one thing and one thing only...to be tied to a stump in a southern state, covered in honey, and doused with fire ants.

I do hope they find your trike, and give you the chance to punch the SOB right in their damn mouth.

Jon Boy
12-09-2010, 01:59 PM
ok, i know the value depends upon where you live, but i need some opinoins on the value (see pics 1st page). i paid a couple hundred for it and been told by a few people i've talked to it was worth about $600-$900. also just wondering, any ideas about what would it cost me to replace my 125?

Jon Boy
12-09-2010, 02:03 PM

Yeah, I would certainly be on the ball. I don't know of another 125M forsale in decent shape, but i do know that right up in Rock Island there is a killer condition 90 for sale for 450.00. It is said to be 100% original, runnable, solid and used, but not beat to crap either. 72 or 73 i believe. I saw it on CL a few days back.

Did you look around the car port the morning that it happened? Seems like there would have been some signs of the direction they took it in unless everything is concrete. I would put in the add something other than bartering a lawn mower, usually people that mow their lawns aren't as likely to be thieves. Thieves are usually either kids or drug addicts, neither of which do much lawn mowing.

Jon Boy
12-10-2010, 07:15 PM
yes, i looked and checked things out as soon as i woke up to "where's your 3wheeler?".
tarp and bungees cut clean and laying on the ground. you could see where they dragged the tires a bit on the brick patio. they must of carried the rear, the parking brake was set i guess they couldn't figure it out. then cut 90deg left went across my gutter and crushed it. another 90deg right around the bushes. only way they could go to this point. ground must have been frozen on top, couldn't see any tracks. then i figure by this point they figured out how to release the parking brake and rolled it straight out the back. next night though there was a light dusting of snow and i could see the knobby tread pattern from the angle of the dusk/dawn light in the grass. followed it to the paved alley.

Who knows if the thief even uses craigslist. Try the STL area. Everyone from Sothern Illinois posts in the st. louis craigslist. Watch for parts and tires for sale. My first ride was a 1984 125M. I know one when I see one. I'll look for one with your front end.

Jon Boy
12-11-2010, 10:43 AM
thanks fellas i really appreciate you keeping your eye out for it. i don't make much since i work for myself, just enough to get by. my 125 is all i have that gives me pleasure, everything else i own is for work basicly. yeah, i've been checking from st. louis to indy, springfield to w. kentucky (i'm in S.E. Ill) on CL, E-bay and such. if i see it on any of these i imagine it'll be parts. if it's still locally somewhat (i don't think it's in town really) they kept it and are using it themselves.

now my buddy freaks out everytime his dog barks, looking to see if someone is getting in his garage. even though he lives 60mi away. lol don't blame him though with the toys he's got.

ok, i'm starting to get really ticked off. i just went to the police station to straighten out my VIN# again. i don't know what their deal is, this is the 3rd time now i've had to do this. seems they would've got it right the first time when they took my bill of sale to photocopy for their records. i'm losing a good bit of faith with the incompetency our local police is showing me. :(

Pisses me off. Tall tree and a short rope, screw the cops if they won't administer help. Frickin' crime rising because everyone is broke. And a decent fella like you gets robbed for a 26 year old trike, now think about it, that's pretty sad. Just upsets me Jon Boy, sorry this happened to you. I just feel anger and want the culprits to suffer, justice would be satisfying for you at this point partner. Heck, makes me want to pray about it, lol!

I don't know about a thief using craigslist but I know they frequent pawn shops. I was with my friend when we found his stolen 30-06 Browning on the shelf at a pawn shop a town away. I would call or visit every one in the vicinity. I know they are supposed to go by regulations, proper documents, i.d and such, but that's not always the case. Just a Thought. And, other than having proof of the report with the vin, If the police are anything like here, They are TOTALLY useless.

My Polaris was stolen last year while i was on vacation and the police wouldnt even take a report untill i came home. Talk about freaking pissed!!! It was a week later before i was coming home. Needless to say it was long gone and i doubt i'll ever see it or my wifes EX ever again.

of course the police dont care, but worse yet, the courts dont care. What I mean by this is that even if the cops do catch this guy, the court will give him a limp slap on the wrist and he will be right out there stealing from someone else that same day. There is no justice in our current system, it is set up to coddel theives

STL, i really don't think that's it, if i remember right (been making a quite a few calls lately) swampthang is correct that one is a 200.

out of all the ones i've seen so far this one has me looking twice. says it's a 110 but just about everything between the 110 and 125 are exactly the same. it's a few parts i'm looking at on this one. rear shot of the plastic hangs down on the right side almost exactly like mine did and the grab bar is offset is very close. other than that it's all little details really, but that's not really proof though. i'll just have to go look at this one in person.

IDK about that one. Looking at the pictures and your pictures they would have had to do alot to yours to make it look that run down. Paint the engine, change the fenders, change the tires, front forts dont have those 2 tabs on it. The rear fenders are also missing the wear marks from the tires.

well, dang it. i've been looking at this 78" ATC 90 on CL that was only 5mins from my buddy. it was only $75 and in peices. it was being rebuilt but the guy didn't finish it.
tonight my buddy offered to get it for me for helping him replace his broken front axleshaft and sewerline work last weekend. just looked on CL and now the listing is removed. i was thinking FLAT TRACKER but, too late.

Yeah I almost bought that 90 too he wasnt that far from my house either. He emailed me pics of it. It was in great shape body wise but the guy never worked on it. He bought it in that condition and never did anything with it. I was gonna buy it but figured parts where prolly lost and it would be a pain to fix someone elses project.

Keeping an eye out here in SW Michigan. Supposed to go tomorrow to look at a 125 in South Bend, IN that someone wants to trade for a dirtbike, no pics though. Man, I'm sick just hearing this story.
If someone steals a new machine, you can go get another one.
Critter cams are getting cheap. Motion sensor cameras for under 100$.

Wouldn't you just LOVE to have a picture?

I found one of mine about 1/4 mile away in the weeds.

Guess they were gonna come back for it.

I bet they start bragging about their heist and may even return to the scene of the crime.

Post a reward in the local school paper?

Can you find a 'bait trike' to put out there?

Jon Boy
12-21-2010, 11:45 AM
well, it was in Crimestoppers section of the local paper, it's got a $100 reward, but i might throw another hunderd in soon. the thought about a bait trike has crossed my mind, but not sure if it'll attract the same ones. can't really afford one right now anyway.
walked along the train tracks, river trails and drove around just outside of town checking other trails and places in the surrounding rural area. not a single trike track anywhere. i was suprised about this since there are quite a few trikes with in the city limits itself.

side thought, i'm trying to start saving to get a garage next year and keep everything in there. it'll be close since i have a seasonal limited income. then maybe just "borrow" my nephews well trained mastiff and let him live in the garage.

I hate this type of thread, i've been there myself i had a 98' gas gas tx250 trials bike (worth £3000 at the time) stolen when it was 6 months old!!! so i know what its like... i got lucky it was spotted about 5 miles from my house being ridden by some young scumbag..
so me and a few of the boys got together to go hunting!! it took us about 5-6 hours to track him down (hiding in the back garden at his fathers house) he didnt really like being dragged over the garden wall by his hair! or his brother in an upstairs window shooting at us with a .22 air rifle.
well he give us all the bull "it wasnt me, i don't know what your talking about" crap until we told him what was gonna happen to him if i did'nt get my bike back....lol turns out he'd sold my bike for £100 thats about $160 to a local drug dealer, i took me about another 4-5 hours to talk the gear dealer into selling my own bike back to me!! f***ing shocking!!!!
Thats all i'll say is they both got what they deserved a few months later!

I didn't even bother with the police, they are just a joke!!! i hope you get your trike back m8..

REVENGE CAN BE SWEET WHEN DONE THE RIGHT WAY!! LOL

Well, I know it was a longshot, but I thought for a moment we found it. Went and saw the one in South Bend, as I was walking up to it my heart jumped, had original tires, and the rear mudflaps were removed. It wasn't as clean as yours was and the front forks didn't have the tabs. Upon further looking, it turned out to be a 110 with 125 plastics :(
I passed on the deal being it was missing the recoil and the chain was gone so we couldn't even push start it. Wish we had found him but not this time, I'll keep an eye out, even though I'm some ways away. You never know...

well, here we go again. i talked to a buddy of mine that is a reg. police officer and found out that the normal detective has been deployed to the middle east so there is a reg. officer covering till the detective gets back. in the middle of our conversation i find out my VIN# still has not been corrected. i told my buddy it was nothing against him, but if i end up having to give my VIN# again then to forget it they better get an attorney. they took my bill of sale for photocopying to put in their files the day it happened, since then i have had to get it corrected 4 times! i know they're busy with other things than my 3 wheeler, but this much incompetency is getting very stupid.

ok i went down to the impound last week and got a couple pics. still waiting to get clearance for it to be released. i'm wondering how it's going to run and ride though. just from looking at it everything basicly seems ok so far for the most part. i was figuring things would be worse than what they were. thought for sure it was going to come back a franken-trike, but what a suprise to see all it's original parts still there. :D

they moved the bars and i've had it way muddier than this. lol

the by-pass on the key, how do you like the tape job hiding what they did? lol
http://i1209.photobucket.com/albums/cc394/jonboy327/IMG_3493.jpg

they bent the grab bar a little and broke my trunk lid but the rest of the plastic, metal tank and seat cover are still ok. they didn't even take my recovery bag, but they did leave me a beer can to recycle. lol

Make sure you get an accurate quote on the damage done in case they do catch the person. The judge should order the thief to make the repairs to the machine, including the price of parts! I would contact "vintagemotorsports" on here and see if he has a new trunk lid for sale. Really stick it to the thief!!

yeah, i'm keeping track of things. these were just the bigger things you can't help but notice. police processing is just taking a little bit. they caught someone with it in the back of their truck and now know who was involved. they're just not exacly sure which one actually took it yet.

welp, i got a phone call today from the previous owners son (ret. police chief from here in town ;) ). the PO had died and i got the 125 from the estate sale, no title just a bill of sale. i was having a hard time getting the state police to release it since i only had a BOS and not a title for it. well, he took it upon himself to call down to the local state post and talked to somebody to see what the hold up was. now my 125 is supposed to be released tomorrow. :naughty:
i have yet to recieve any kind of police report over all this and still haven't had any of my calls returned from the state police about my copy of the report and about the damages that have occured from the theft. you can say i'm a bit disappointed in that aspect. :(
i am happy to be getting it back for sure. only now i get to clean and inspect it. i know the trunk lid is broken, haven't actually seen the key ignition and dash yet. got my fingers crossed the rest is still good. there wasn't a thing wrong with it other than the drunken weld job the PO did on the forks. started easy in 1 try and didn't smoke or anything.
thank you again fellas for helping keep an eye and ear out. :beer

ok, just got home with the 125 and it's a bit rougher than i first thought. it must have been sitting those 4months in a woods covered in mud.
so, i pay for it all and then turn in the bills to the state attorney and hopefully get reimburst for the costs from the restitution.
status sofar from a quick look and only took the plastic off at this point...
$80 tow bill
broken trunk lid
damaged dash
missing key ignition
elec. starter not working (could be wiring haven't dug that deep yet)
battery bad (was only a few months old)
wiring harness (where they cut/spliced the ignition)
bent handle bars
bent grab bar

could've been way worse i guess, but it's bad enough already for me. time to check around on parts.
i really don't even want to get into that i was lead to believe it was in someones truck and was told today (by the guy who picked it up to take to the impound when it was recovered) it was sitting by the restrooms at the local city park. think i'll talk to the state attorney again tomorrow, i have yet to of gotten a straight answer from anyone yet IMO.
i'm happy to get it back, but what a snafu. :(

no i don't think so, it was someone from here i suspect. yes it's locked up better now. will agree on being lucky to not only get it back but with very little damage too. most things around here that get stolen (cars, atvs, bicycles and such) usually end up in the river. city pulled 2-3 new cars (stolen from dealership) out of the river last year that had been stolen just for someones joy ride.

finally got ahold of the SA today and got some more info. it is the neighbor across the street from me. i kinda figured it was him, but didn't have any real proof till now. court date is set for this coming Mon morn. 7/11/2011. now the good part is i thought i had to turn in a bill to get reimbursted for the damages, but the SA told me to get estimations for the repair costs and i can turn that in to her and she'll add it to the list. :p

NOW IT'S RANT TIME!!!: :D
man, this guy is a real dirtbag too. he and his wife (neither work) have about a dozen kids and live off the states money. all 9 of their kids (3his, 3hers, 3together. i'm not going to count the other kids that don't live in the house with them) take special classes (there's nothing actually wrong with them, seriously no joke) their entire income comes from the state, but yet they can afford to buy a new pool and 2 new dogs (boxers) they are starting to breed and then selling the pups except the females. they're keeping them for more breeding. they already had 4 dogs to begin with. the guy has a record going back not sure how far, i stopped when i got to 2002 when digging through his previous courts documents. the scumbag supposedly was given 2mos to live a few times now in the last 2 yrs (from what he and his wife say anyway, yeah right. i'm calling BS) and was supposedly the next on the list for a liver transplant, but got booted from the list when he was caught drinking. he had wrecked my 3 wheeler with another neighbors daughter (drinking buddys) and they both got hurt, she got the worst end of it (hospitalized). the guy and his wife have 500ft restraining orders against eachother, but yet still live in the same house?
ok, i think i better stop now because i'm just getting madder and madder about this stupidity and i need to cool off for a bit.

you will probably never get a dime. he will be ordered to pay restituition but if he gets probation they can only enforce it while he is on,and being that he lives off the state and has no other income if he pays 5 bucks a month that would keep probation happy. if he gets jailtime the courts can order him to pay but have no way to enforce it. I would get an outrageous estimate and put it through the home owners insurance where it was taken from. assuming the deductable is not more than the damage.

Jon Boy
07-07-2011, 08:58 PM
yeah, true. i might not anything back, but he was caught riding it by a state trooper with-in the city limits (big no-no around here). if he weasles outta that then i feel i have more of a problem than just him. then there's also the fact there is supposedly others involved, atleast that's what he is claiming. sadly i did not have it insured at the time. my homeowners policy (State Farm) will not cover it unless it's claimed as home equipment like lawnmowers and such (all i needed to do was claim i used it for picking up sticks in the yard. too bad i didn't realize this until after they had asked me that). i have to get a seperate policy for it now. no other income? well his house was bought by his rich Grandpa, his dad owns a decent amount of rental houses and he's got all these dogs he's breeding and selling.... he or his family can afford it, but i know what you mean. though.

Jon Boy
07-11-2011, 01:55 PM
well, the prelim. hearing is today. guess i'll find out if they're going to charge this guy with the theft or hear a "so sad" story and then start pointing the theft at someone else. must say if i hear any sad stories or if he gets the local slap happy judge (basicly always gives people a slap on the wrist compared to what they should be sentenced with) i'm just gonna walk out. with the heat/humidty today the last thing i need to do is sit in a hot courtroom getting more pissed than i already was.
IMO, i keep getting the feeling it's going to be a "sad story" today like he's has been or is sick and can't come to court.

still only have about half of my estimates in and the SA still hasn't corrected the "value before theft" on it. they have the price i paid for it written down, not the real value of it before the theft.

boy, i wish you guys could've seen the look on his face when he saw me walk in the courtroom.

the judge called him up and it wasn't even a full minute and they had him in the back of the courtroom giving him a breathalizer test. he blew a 0.0. went back up to the judge and in less than 2 mins waivered his prelim hearing and plead NOT GUILTY  . since he waivered his prelim. the only witness the SA had (who was the arresting state trooper who had caught him) couldn't testify as a witness today and yes, he has gotten the "Slap Happy" judge. he waivered the prelim for health reasons. next he and his lawyer/public defender stepped out to converse with eachother. they came back in before the judge and plead not guilty and the judge set a new court date for Aug. 8th. after the hearing i left and went to talk to the SA's assitant and got a few things straightened out then left to come home. before i walked in my house i saw the SOB walking down the street, i just sat on my porch steps and stared him down. he looked and saw me, kept glancing back over at me till he walked in his door. half hour later i was driving to get some gas for the mower and saw him and his wife driving passed and boy, oh boy, did he ever stare me down with that "mean mug" look. something is telling me i better get a security camera very soon. with the way this guy thinks, i can easily see him doing something. i don't know why he would be so dumb as to do something like that, but i wouldn't put anything passed him now. if there is others involved like he is claiming then he better start naming names. also for someone who is so sick that he needs a liver transplant he sure looked very healthy walking down the street with his shirt off showing his "Big Muscles" just struting away. :wondering

ok, here's a quick rundown on the estimates i've gotten sofar for repairs. the guy has a 125M parts machine with some of the parts i need, so a little lucky there i guess.

$350= trans case and labor
$80= tow bill
$20= valve repair and labor
$59= new handlebars
$32= new battery
$48= new key ignition
$125= time and labor, repairs to grab bar, frame, starter, foot pegs, trunk lid, dash and exhaust pipe.

$714= total bill i turned into the state's attorney. that's almost 3times what i paid for it.

also add in fuel expenses for looking for it any long distance calls made to try and locate, also mental pain and suffering, I feel you are going to easy on him, no way to garnish his wages as there are none, but state restitution is relentless, whether you have a job or not.

ok, so went to court yesterday. court time was set for 1:30, judge didn't show up till 2:00. then they go through about 4-5 people first. just before 1:30 i get there. after a few mins he comes walking in and sits for a few mins and then leaves the room. few more mins later he walks back in. couple more mins and then he walks back out again then comes walking back in with the wife. now at this point i hear his wife tell the SA that her daughter has oral surgery at 3:00 (i'm thinking he called her so he can have a reason to get out of court) SA says she would hurry the best she could :wondering WTF!!!? when they get to him, he walks up in front of the judge for no more than 30SECS! gets a card for his rescheduled court date for 11am 9/12/11. after a little checking i find this is also the same date he has a court date for his last offense that he is still on probation for 9am 9/12/11. the probation is for "Criminal Damage to Gov. Prop, Resisting Police, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Disorderly Conduct and Possession of Cannabis,2.5 grams." this next courtdate shall be interesting i think. :naughty:

ok now for a bit of ranting.

like i had posted before, this guy was supposedly next on the list for a liver transplant at one time but had got caught drinking and getting drunk which got him kicked off the list. ok so in his court records it shows that he first used the bad liver excuse 4/13/09, 4 times after this he misses court because of being too ill to show. then on 12/28/09 he finally shows with documents for his bad liver. so it took him almost 8months to get proof of his illness? so even though he had supposedly been hospitalized a one point in this time frame he or his wife couldn't get the paperwork from his doctor? then it shows where he's used this excuse 7 more times from 1/5/10-5/2/11.
now you tell me. if someone is in need of a liver transplant so bad that they were next on the list and to have missed court so many times, wouldn't you think the last thing they would be able to do is go out getting drunk everynight and playing with the dogs and kids in the yard, going for bike rides and mowing the lawn, etc...etc... i would figure for it to be as bad as he's playing it to be, he would be going in for dialysis, which from what i can tell he's clearly not. i'm telling you if he still ends up getting a slap on the wrist again..... Now if you or someone that isnt a incompitant @ss and worked for a living would have done something like this you would have done more time than this idiot would have ever done!! You got a dog or something you can keep outside to let you know if someone is messing around?? A little dog is a great alarm system, a big dog is a great security system. I have 2 pit bulls that are loose at all times but are too friendly to do anything, just want petted. But the mutt dog we have will snatch someone up if not familiar, thats why she stays in a kennel...most of the time!! The pits usually deter anyone not familiar with them from coming on my property!

with the rap sheet this guy has and the games they are already letting him play i wouldnt be suprised if he gets little to no punishment for thiefing your bike. they will probably let him off with a fine or community service. neither of which he will make good on. he will come up with a lie of how he ended up with it, thinking it was legit etc. I had a dirtbike stolen from me years ago.it was just about brand new. i found out who stole it, people came to me who saw it, rode it themselves etc. told me who had it. cops did NOTHING aside from ask the guy if he stole it. they claimed that was all they could do and basically if i wanted it back I would have to "steal" it back. Said thats what others had to do to get their stuff back. total BS pretty much.

More than likely the judge is some Liberal piece of crap that believes that since he is "terminal" then we should just let him be. I am so sick of crap like this going on. Wait until there are people rioting in American streets like London. You better bet your Azz I will be on my roof playing "Duck Hunt" if you know what I mean. Sorry for the rant, but I have been going through some of the same stuff. Jon Boy, take it as a lesson learned. You have to protect you and yours because there is no one out there standing up for us law abiding citizens.

stud, i hear ya and no need to be sorry for ranting. people need to vent every so often so they don't go off the deep end ya know?

noein, yes it's been very tempting, but i'm not about to go to jail and i'm not even gonna risk it. knowing the luck, i would probibly end up with more jail time than this guy would for stealing it.

About 10 years ago I had a 350x and a 85 Yam 200ern stolen from our shop. I called the cops but they didn't do much more than file a report. I started looking and put the word out that I was offering a nice reward for info on who done it and to get my machines back. 3-4 months later I got a lead and followed up on it quickly. I gathered all the info I could and gave it to the local detectives. They crapped when I gave them enough info to file charges. They how ever decided to gather more info first. The actually got a confession from one kid and the court ball got rolling. I went to every court date and I gave a detailed list of everything I had put into the machines since I had them. The court convicted all three and they had to pay me over $4500 for the 2 machines. 2 of the kids paid their share, but the other Punk only ever paid part of it. The court couldn't do anything about him not paying. errrr The kids were minors when they stole them and were 18 when they got caught. They only got a slap on the wrist other than paying me.
One thing I highly reccomend is going to every court date and show the court how much your ride meant to you. If your judge doesn't nail this worthless POS then you need to do what you can to get him / her removed and get a new judge in there.

They do have a pill that cures Liver and other future problems. It's the not so little Lead pill one. lol

well it's just hear-say really, but the old man that lives across the street and nextdoor to dirtbag told me he overheard the guys wife standing outside talking on her cellphone this morning and that "mister dirtbag" is going to pull a plea agreement or plea bargin next court hearing, if so then he'll only get like 10days in jail. wow what a prick... when i was in middle school some kid stole my bike and they did nothing to him... But then the same kids family tried to press charges on me for kicking his ass!! What is wrong with america these days... Also my security here is 2 mean hound dogs and a 12.ga with 00buck shot in it. My dad works long shifts so im home alone most the time. Im not scarred to use my shotgun to defend my property or myself if the circumstances are right. Here in texas if they are on your property after dark its fair game. As long as they dont leave your property after shot ((kill on spot)). Matter of fact last year my dogs were goin wild one night and I saw nothing out side so I grabbed my gun and walked out to my pasture and someone was out there.. I was so scarred, I snuk around our old ford and said GTFO off my property I will kill you and I shot in a general direction and he let out a yell and ran in the woods. Ever since then we aint had no problems.

ok i just wrote one heck of a rant, but something screwed up and i lost it. oh well, condense and try again. must admit this one is pretty tame compared to the first one i lost. i just don't want to write it all out again.

sorry, bit of a rant here...
i stopped by the house to grab my mowing shoes that i had forgot and as i'm leaving there he was crossing the street with one of his drinking buddy's and one of his sons. as i pass i rev my engine up at him. i look back to see him standing there hands in the air flipping me off. ok that got me ticked so i turn around and pull up to where he's standing. as i'm pulling up he drops what he's holding and started towards me at a decent pace with a "i'm coming to kick your ass" kind of walk and started hollaring "why are you always reving your engine everytime you drive by, you do once more i'm gonna pull you outta that truck and beat your ass!" so i said "well ricky it might be because your the one they caught with my 3 wheeler, what do you think?" next he's telling me he didn't steal it and i say "i didn't say that you stole it i said you were caught with it." now he goes on about telling me he was just out at the city park the day it was recovered with his wife and kids at some kind of school event or something and they just came up and arrested him in front of his kids (i'm sure they're just going to arrest him just because he happened to be there at the same time it was recovered, i'm crying in my beer now. ) and also he said that "so and so" probibly took it, but he was getting the blame instead, ok he's telling me this? he should be telling his lawyer, SA, police or someone else not me. then he tells me he's already getting 10days jailtime for the driving on revoked liecense, he must know this from past experiance, because he's only had about 1-1 1/2 mins court time in total counting both hearings sofar. now i've already talked to the SA and just got back from the police station letting them know what had happened, because i don't want him to turn it around on me by saying i was starting stuff.
OMG, someone give me some chest waders or a wetsuit, my hip waders are too short for all this bullshit.
i know i messed up by talking to him by myself on the street, i just hope i got my ass covered and he doesn't try and turn it around on me. i hope there's something to be learned from this too. it would be nice for people to get something from this thread other than a big rant basicly. there is a bit more i'd like to say about this also, but i'm just gonna hold on for now. it's funny how people rant to blow off steam, i seem to just get even madder when i do it. I know it's a messed up situation, but you need to stop revving your engine at him. It makes you look juvenile. I see him telling his lawyer you tried to run him down on the street, and they ask you if you revved your engine while you were on the street with him.. You say yes.. Score 1 for the defense.. I realize you are totally 100% in the right here, and I totally feel for you. You need to let the law handle it and ignore him. If you wanted to whip his @$$, that time is long gone because of the damage it will do to your case. He could put a restraining order on you for something like that. Judging from his past I don't put it past him and his lawyer to make you look bad.

Keep your nose clean, and ignore him. Wait until your case is over to give him what he truly deserves... But be prepared if you get caught it won't look good for you..

Jon Boy
08-22-2011, 08:50 PM
yeah, i know. bad move on my part for the engine reving, but i was thinking heck only thing he could do really was call me in for disturbing the peace or noise ordenance or something. wasn't untill today it acctually dawned on me how it might look, so agreed bad move on my part. your right i can see him saying i might of tried to run him down and if you want to go another step he was with his son today too, imagine adding that in the mix. that's one of the main reasons i talked to both the SA and police after it happened. the cheif is going to talk to the guy about the name he had given me, i'm curious to hear what he might have to say about today now.

anyway, totally agree. ignore him and let thing fall where they may. i knew i shouldn't of turned around, but reacted before thinking. mainly i'm mad at myself for not staying cool and letting him get to me. oh well, lesson learned.
sorry fellas for letting myself become a trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotr ailpro today.

ok just a little tid-bit. i know the old boy was liying to me yesterday, but i had a talk with the police cheif today and found out a little more. i knew he was caught with my 3 wheeler and now i find out the state police saw him riding it on the road and when they tried to pull him over he ran. then they chased him into the city park and cornered him up in the back of the park. oh yeah, i think he's basicly did himself in already, now just to see if the court is going to stand up to him and finally bust his ass and put him in jail for once.

Jon Boy
09-12-2011, 04:06 PM
ok this is not offical yet really, but i talked to the SA's secratary and checking the court records earlier because he had court today. sofar it looks like he's pulled a plea agreement and on count 1 (my 3wheeler) will be on probation for 4years, on count 2 (driving on revoked license) he'll be on 2years probation and if he gets into trouble within that time he'll have to serve 3-4years. he's been ordered to report to the jail Wed. 14th 2011 for service of sentence (madatory 10days for driving on revoked license i'm figuring), well so much for him getting what he deserves. well, on the bright side it shows he has paid full restitution for damages and repairs. as of right now i'm waiting on the SA to call me back so i can find out exactly whats happening.

ok, well after almost a year from when my 125 was stolen i think things are finally over with. Ricky was only sentenced to 10days in jail for driving on a revoked liecense, but he plead and was found gulity on being in possesion of my stolen 3 wheeler. he's on 4yrs probation for it and if he gets in trouble over anything in those 4 yrs then automaticly he has to go back to jail to serve a 3-4yrs sentence. on a good note i got all my restitution for repairs/damages that happened while it was stolen. :w00t:

i knew when he moved into the neighborhood he was shady, but i wasn't expecting this nonsense. had a guy i know telling me the other day "Ricky was down at so and so's house trying to sell a crossbow (illegal in IL without special handicap permit) and was talking about he only has about a pea size piece of liver left and the whole time he was sucking back on a beer.

Your comment shows a lot about your personality.

Think about it: Stealing is Stealing whether it be $1 or $1 million. If you think it's not go shoplift something that only cost $1 or 2. It will still get you into a crap load of trouble when you get caught.

And being Violated is being Violated. This POS (were not talking about a 14 year old - an adult) went ONTO someone else's property and INTO someone else's shed to STEAL. It wouldn't matter if he only siphoned out the gas. The guy got off easy and in a perfect world, would be missing a hand right now.
When (not if) this joker violates his probation, make sure to attend the revocation hearings and let the prosecutor know that he hasn't paid his restitution yet to you. If you've been paid your $ already, let it go.
Other than this, there's nothing left for you to do. Be happy that you are the less than 1% of people that got your property back and the thief was arrested. Leave this guy alone and hopefully he and his clan won't mess w/ you. Haven't you ever heard the phrase: Never F*** w/ someone who has nothing to lose????

go ahead laugh away, but i didn't have to try and do anything. the state police saw him on it and he ran. they caught him redhanded with it, he was already in trouble before i even knew who it was. matter of fact, it doesn't matter who it was or the cost, i'd want justice just the same. i don't have much and work my ass off for myself. my 3 wheeler is the only thing i own that gives me any enjoyment, everything else i spend my money on goes to living expenses or back into my tools and equipment. think about that, not having all those toys listed in your sig execpt one of them. then to wake up and find it gone, not knowing when or if you'll get it back. now if you still want to laugh about it then to me your a lost cause, even so, i hope you never have to go through someone stealing your trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro! :beer

Addicted, i don't know how you could possibly come on here, and say it straight up that you're laughing at Jon Boy. You sir, are a freaking moron... Its not about the money, but about the fact of stealing, and, that it was his means of enjoyment. If someone came onto my property, and stole my beloved 125, I would of went bezerk, I wouldn't of slept untill I got it back. Call me weird, but it is my favourite, due to the sentimental value.

Jon Boy, this has been a long thread, and I don't know if I've commented on it yet or not, but I gotta tell you, you've done pretty well considering. I'm not a violent guy, but when someone violates me by taking or damaging my stuff, I start plotting revenge. I lost a tree stand earlier this year, and I was pretty pissed. Yeah, it was *only* $130, but the a-holes went onto private property, unstrapped it and took it down. I was wishing I could have caught 'em, and good thing I didn't, because then I'd be the criminal.

Didn't tell me anything... If you guys saw my record you would cry... Haha They only thing sad about that, is someone is not doing their job correctly if you are repeatedly in trouble and you are bragging about it, and your over zealous thoughts and arrogance, will eventually consume you and be your downfall. And when it happens, you will wish you wised up when you had the chance.

Dude, what is your deal..3 accounts you have started here, and been banned over and over. You run around youtube trolling people also.
I absolutely cannot fathom WHY you people act like this.

You need to honestly ask yourself some simple questions and be honest with yourself in the answers. Dont tell us what you think we want to hear, honestly, step back and look at the way you act and try to help yourself.

"What is my trolling and dumbassesedness on the internet contribute to the world?"
"What do I want to offer this world"
"At what point will I look at my actions and realise I am making bad decisions?"
"Is the way I talk to people and act, the way I would want to be treated or talked to?"
Seriously try to sit back and ask yourself these questions and think and be honest with yourself, and see if you dont have a different outlook.

Please..
Enlighten me and others, to what is going on in your generation that causes kids like you, to act the way you do. Because as a parent myself, I want to understand and curb this now so my children do not follow suit, and are prepared to deal with kids like you when needed.

Are you a product of bad parenting or a hard upbringing? Are you a product of being bullied in school? Or are you just so alone that you find yourself trying too hard to make an impression to impress people?
And dont give this "I am having a bad day crap"
In the last 48 hours, My best friend of over 20 years lost his 16 year old boy, and I am headed to his funeral today.
A good 3ww friend of mine is in the hospital, battling every concievable bad thing, trying to fight for his life...

And you dont see me come on here and post stupid crap or troll forums because "I am having a bad day"

You dont know what a bad day is kiddo.
Quit being a problem in the world try to be helpfull.
