i've only ridden a Honda 200e and a 200m so i would like to ride a 250 or a 350(x) sometime to see how it goes for myself compaired to the 200's or i would like to also try a kawi or a yammie (Not with a 454 though, lol) :P

If it's a dream trike then I would want something that trys to rip my arms out of there sockets, like a 2 stroke 500. Light wieght frame but amazingly strong so you dont have to worry about demolishing it if you jump it higher than 5 ft in the air. Long travel suspension that rides like a lazyboy. A dealer nearby that keeps parts in stock so you dont have you ride it like a old man cause your worried you'll break a discontinued part. But if were talking a stock production trike here then maybe a nice 2nd gen tecate or a liquid 250r.:naughty::TrikesOwn

This thread is kind of tricky. I have Tigers and some crazy aftermarket frames and kits. All are quite fun in their own ways. But if I only had one and it had to do everything, well just for a production trike, I would have to say the good ole 350x. I've never really rode a TPC or anything like that, but for pretty much a go slow or go fairly fast and is good on trails and all around, it's really hard to beat a 350x. I know, 250r's are faster, and the Tigers are faster still, but the tigers are more for flat tracking. The 250r's just don't work on trails for me as much. And the 350x just has a way better overall power, low speed or up high. But I have a custom 350x project in the works, so that might be my favorite, or the major injury of me! LOL

dont care what brand and what color.. but it would definately have inverts and burn mixed gas.. i am thinkin ktm 300 based trike might be fun and versitile.. E-start.. and have removable fenders for backup kickstart... if i wanted a fart box i'd buy a 450 quad..

I agree with Vealmonkey. The Honda 350x is the all around best stock production trike ever made, and I just got one for $100.00! Needs some work but it runs well. I'll start a build thread as soon as all decisions are made.

I hear ya on the engine. A new KTM 300xc engine would be absolutely amazing in a 3wheeler. Modern chassis of course, with all of that smooth low end power ripping through to a 51 H.P. peak would be so sweet. Adjustable ignition, and exhaust timing too. I think the xcw is a 6speed......xc 5speed. The new generation 300's are considered by many to be the best all around engines in off road motorcycling to date. On to the question at hand though.... One single favorite trike from back in the 80's, impossible to pick one. I have many in a wide variety of forms, size, and color. No one machine can successfully do everything well.

I agree.. too many types of fun to pick just one... rather its bouncing around your backyard on a hardtail... packing a deer home on a utility... or pulling a sick powerwheelie down the backside of a dune on a 2-smoke... i know i could never limit myself to just one

At one time I certainly would have said, "the top machine on my wish list would be a ATC250R".

I had 2 in the past and they were all they were supposed to be. Great Machine.

But now that I am a little older and my riding style is different; I would put the 350X at the top of my wish list.

A Husqvarna, and I may just build one ... someday, as far as production trikes, I'd say a showroom fresh Tecate

Well since the question is if I could "have" one trike I would take my neighbor's Tri-Z, because it needs to be rescued, and I have yet to ride a 2 stroke, sport trike, and that trike is in my sights, it will be my next trike purchase.

And since no one let me "have" my other trikes, I had to pay good money for them, they don't count right?

But if I could only have on production trike I would really have to ride them to know for sure. It would come down to the 350X and 250SX, but if I could have an ultra modified suspension on the 250SX that would be my choice.

Well being from good ole Michigan and my trike roots being trail riding I gotta go with my MDR 600X or my SprocK BIGBORE 400X.When it come 's to work I gotta go with my 250es Big Red.I'd have my pingers on the list but my thumpers would be at the top of the list. I can't really list just a single 1 favorite machine. ..

me myself, would either want a 350x (never rode a race trike) or a big red 250, duckster, or anything under 70cc.
new york is good for yamaha 225's other then that i only have luck with broke down 200's.

I am still partial to my 1000x but its not real practical. I could see a 450 conversion being the rig to have.

i'd say 700 maico or ATK in a trike would be pretty cool, but for around here a 250 bigred for the woods and mud.

definitely a TPC 450R. which is currently on order. I should have my frame by the end of March, and i already have literally EVERY other part needed. I CANNOT WAIT! Think about it: light weight, inverts, can lug around, good on gas, elec start, can buy ANY part when broke or wrecked, and will say bye bye to a 250R and even a 310R. now come on what could be better. LOL just my opinion.

and after that an '86 350X. I love mine....until this spring....lol.

Were Dreaming correct? If so, then it would be this trike
http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/6456/picture067o.jpg

with this motor stuffed in it. It would lay the wood to most any single cylinder bike/quad out on the sand. Cub Banshee's would take quick notes too :)~

Since I mostly ride in the sand, has to be an 87 Tecate. I've had a 88 t4 and still wish I never sold it. So with that said an 87 t3 has to be that much better.

Hmmmmm, an '86 350x, 400ex engine, electric start. Inverts, a pro-link grafted on the rear. Super reliable. Perfect trail bike!
