Wheel Clean

Hi trikers, I have a quick question. How do i clean spray paint off of factory steel wheels. Have a set of wheels for my 250 BR that were spray bombed, and factory paint underneath look ok. Paint on wheels is already peeling! How do i get it off?

If it is already peeling try a pressure washer. it works wanders on spray bombed stuff.

Another good this is to get some cheap enamel reducer from Wal Mart. It will wash the spray bomb off, but it won't harm the factory paint......Some spray bomb is lacquer based, so the reducer might not touch it. Lacquer thinner will, but be careful of the factory paint with that. But if it enamel, it will wipe right off.

Sometimes oven cleaner will take care of that stuff - not sure about the original paint though

Oven cleaner is very likely to stain the original paint. That's dicey............IMO

Thanks guys, will try that enamel reducer at wally world! Also try the pressure washer. Keep the tips rollin, open to all!
