Does anyone know of any other axles that will fit a 86 200X ? Or another carrier and axle that will interchange ?

All 300EX running gear is supposed to work, but you need it ALL.......

i know for afact the 1st gen 200x axle fits, i put one in my 86 a week ago, need everything except the brake rotor.. and hub nuts, all that needs to be done is grind a little bit of the slots off where the chaine adjuster tool sticks into the carrier to clear the sproket hub nuts... im running 400ex hubs so itsa bit wider than the stock hubs would be, and the 1st gen axle is longer over all

guess the 83-4 axles fit, you need the whole set up,
wish a durablue was more affordable id have a +2+2 in my 200x if they wernt 500 bucks

Nah, they slide right into the 86 carrier - I run a Durablue......
I think you just need 2 axle seals 2MM smaller ID - That size is my guess anyhow, I forget. I think I got extra's...........
You can find great stuff under 100$, just have to wait and search!

Thanks, going to look a little deeper into the 250X/300EX stuff. I'll dig one up and measure the carrier. I'd prefer to go this route as it would be easier in the future to find parts. Thanks....

thats the same thing i looked into.. was talking to anoyher member, he had a shop set up a 300ex swing arm to fit his 1st gen 200x, i been thinking about getting a 300ex swing arm and having the back end of it matted to my swing arm(cut and weld) so than i have more options for axles and carriers
