I have my 200x frame stripped down to bare metal now and am ready to paint but not sure what primer to use. I've been told to use self etching. I've used self etching before when painting a car. I am going to paint the trike frame with automotive paint. Had anyone done this and if so what did you use for primer?

If you're spraying from a gun, use epoxy primer from SPI (Southern Polyurethanes).

Be sure to use a self etching primer on bare metal . If you dont it wont be very durable.

Make sure you have a respirator on if you use self etching primer...it is very toxic. More than usual paint!
