First time Ive posted here, been stalking the site for a few months now, and I can't figure how I can identify my bike. What I have is a 1981 atc200 at least that's what is on the frame and the vin checks out as a 200. The jug has 180 and the gas tank has atc185, so Im thinking it's really a 185 or 185s? The seat is detachable which I have heard is straight 185, there is no headlight, and the front tire is not original, so those telltale signs won't work for me. So as it relates to the gasket sets, are the 185 and 185s sets for 1980-1981 the same or is there another way for me to identify what kind of engine I have inherited on a 200atc frame? Or is this common and I'm not aware of it?

The engines size should be on the backside of the cylinder, at the base. That will tell you what size engine it is, and what size bike it really is.

All the atc 185-200 auto clutch gasket sets are the same just dont buy a set for a 200e or 200es or the 200m they might be a little different depending on the gasket maker . Their might be differences in head gaskets but a 200 head gasket will work on a 185 but a 185 head gasket might be to small for a 200 model .
