i would back flip a trike. but i would need a foam pit to practice in. theres some videos of people backflipping on snowmobiles you know how heavy those things are. if it can be done on a snowmobile then it should be easier on a trike.
i would try if there was a foam pit in my area. spend about a year or two in a foam pit then give it a shot on dirt jumps.
thats a funny signature to.

we could still set a record. call them ask them if anyones ever backflipped a 250r and if not you got a chance to be in the records.
nitro circus did a backflip with 2 riders on a dirt bike.

I've done a 70 in a foam pit. Which is easy and anyone can do it. But as far as trying a full size trike such as a 250R I'm not even close. The landing scares the sht out of me and thats just it, the landing. The last flip I tried was on a TRX250R and it didn't work out to well. Broke my jaw, collar bone, and wrist. I can think of a few people who might be able to get it done. One is Eric Jensen, who pushes me to go higher and bigger because of what he does on a trike. YES ERIC YOUR MY HERO..LOL.. But as far as Travis doing one I don't think Hendrix Motorsports will let him with him signing a Nationwide Nascar contract last month. You'll have to wait out the 7 races he's obligated for.
If you can stick the landing on a good downside you'll be the MAN in my book

I hope you nail it, because trying that has been going through my head for 5 years. I want to so bad, but my wife said she has no problem with me trying anything, but if she finds out I tried a backflip, she will lock me out of the house and divorce me. Would it be worth it? Maybe, but then again, she did buy me a brand new 450r for Christmas 4 years ago. Hard to find a woman like that!

I guess it's important...but to who? The GUY who did it frist? I suspose it might get your name in a book. I can't guess Red Bulls ready to jump on board with a payday...whats the count on Metal Mulisha Quad guys or equivalent too...How many quad tour Co.'s out there? I suppose you could hipe up a 3wheeler record breaker stunt video...longest? highest? ramp to dirt? natural outdoor stuff. I guess someone like Wes Miller could answer the value of something like this. Then again the production and distributation= zero$ for the rider. So back to square one...why is this important? If you gotta an itch?? I hope whoever does it the best. My guess is it won't be done on a old R, Z or Tecate...jmo

if you dont know the answer to that question then you dont understand people like pastrana or other fmx riders.... the answer is, "why not?" lol.
i cant say ill be the first to flip a 3wheeler, but if it hasnt been done then ill prob do it in the foampit and see how it is on 3wheels, then we will go from there. It will prob end up being the TPC450 because it was offered, but if not, a 250r will do. but who knows, someone could be me or the guys at tpc to the flip.

I did a nice tripple axle with a half twist and a double fork bend on a Tecate once and I nailed the landing with my face (sorry no video, but I do have a limp) does that count?...

i bet if we got the flip on tv people would want that trike and tpc would get some trikes made but cant be sure.

travis or nitro circus didnt do it because they were chicken trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro! i dont hate them but if you got a whole community to ask them and they refuse thats not cool.
or their insurance company might not allow trikes used for stunts because of cpsc and people like the guy in my signature.

lol, i dont think you realize how many emails they get. If you catch pastrana at his house, put a three wheeler in front of him, it will get flipped.

Bingo!
back flipping a 3 wheeler will get done sooner or later. i would love to do it but my mind may not still be there for it. foam pit no problem. i have studied the back flip for several years. I'm not going to say i know how to do it but i do understand what it will take. as far as landing it, there will be zero difference between a 3 wheeler and a 4 wheeler.

When I did the quad and wrecked I didn't get the full rotation in. Just alittle more and I would of made my 3rd one. I'm just iffy with the one tire out ft and the 2 in the rear. Alittle off camber and over I'll go. With the 2 out ft I felt grounded on the landing. Now the 70 in the pit is like flipping my Ripper. Nice and light and easy to toss around. After someone does it I'll look at the video frame by frame and watch the landing then give it a wack. And Eric keep going bigger. You and a few others I know keep me working on my game.
