Soo my buddy and i had a few beers last night and were bored so we came up with this contraption. All joints are sealed with abs cement except for the top 45' so i can remove it and i have an extension that i can add on if needed. I think it looks pretty cool and functional. It does not get in my way at all when riding the bike. Let me know what you guys think. B/c if this is a success and i can sink this bike without getting water intrusion then i will do the same mod to my other sx.( by the way the engine and complete rear end are out of a 86 250es so no water sealing problem in the rear end to deal with) I also like the es rear hubs better, they seem to make more sense (flat) to me rather then the sx hubs for a muddin machine.

I also ran the rear end breather tube, rear brake breather, crankcase breather to the airbox. Put a cap on the airbox drain tube so if i do get water in there i can drain it easily.

Question tho, should i run the carb overflow hoses to the airbox aswell?

I think it looks a little silly and it's only got a two or three inch advantage over the stock intake.

Actually thats why i didn't attach the top 45' with abs cement. So if i am going deep i can easily pop off the 45' and i have a 1 foot extension that i can add with the help of a cut bicycle inner tube to seal the connection. Plus having the pipe visible i can see exactly where my intake is

Looks familiar... you will have fun going through deep water!

Did you glue yours into your airbox? I didn't on mine so I can pull the boot back in place after removing the snorkel and have the stock intake setup again. My pipe is long; like a foot over the top of the tank. I also used a sweep 90 so it hugs the tank a little closer. You can see pics of my snorkel setup in the SX link in my signature.

I haven't done anything with my carb hoses; haven't had any trouble.
