KLT/KXT mudflaps

My 85 KLT 160 needs new mudflaps and I'm waiting to hear back on whether or not they're obsolete. I was just curious if anybody has ever used the Tecate flaps on a KLT or if anybody has ever compared them. I have never seen a Tecate in person that still had mudflaps so I have no idea. Thanks guys.

Kawasaki.com doesn't have a parts diagram for the 85 klt160 so it's hard to tell. The 85 Tecate parts diagram shows the flaps as only for the 84-85 Tecates. But the 4 flap brackets that are used to attach the flap to the fender are the same 4 parts for the KLT160 and Tecate. So at least that would lead me to believe that the hole spacing is the same between the 2.

Bikebandit has a diagram, but it's hard to find. What you have to do is pick OEM parts, Kawasaki, 1985, and then pick the KLT 200. For some reason when you click on KLT 200 it automatically brings up the KLT 160.

Hi! I'm a long time lurker here, and I just felt I needed to mention that I bought a set of these after I saw them on here. The mud flaps are oem Kawasaki and are direct replacements for my ,86 klt 185. they should fit your 160 would out a hitch

Well now we gotcha! Welcome, and can you post a picture of your 3-wheeler? I like Kawasaki's and don't get to see many 185's etc.? Seen a picture of a 110 by a member and haven't seen many more Kawasaki's except those blasted 'Tecate' things.

I've just fitted a new set on my 84' tecate................... everyone takes them off but i think they look cool..!!!

I've just been in the garage and theres 4 bolts and they measure 120mm from centre to centre of each bolt!!! hope this helps
i'll post a pic later, show me a pic of yours on the klt so i can compare it?

I used to have a spare set of mud flaps for my 83 klt200c.. i wounder... hmm

OK from front most bolt to next one back 215mm. From that hole to the next 67mm. Then from that hole accrost the back to the last hole 120mm. All measurements are best I could do from center to center. Front to back about 430mm and and about 315 accrost the back at it's widest point.

I finally went to put my mud flaps on the KLT yesterday and sadly the Tecate mud flaps do not fit.

On a similar note, if any of you run across the rigid mud flaps for the 86-87 KLT 110, 160 or 185 please let me know. I need a set bad!

No, they 84-85's are flexible.

Also got a black 110 head light plastic NOS, and NOS black front fender.(fender & flaps for my 185) All from the same seller, $169 total for everything with combined shipping. Got the delivery and the right side flap had about a 3 inch crack in it. You can see it in the pic. Hard to notice (and I didn't till I got them)but there none the less. Contacted seller to see what we could do about it since it was listed as "new" and you could see it was cracked in the pic and he said keep them and he refunded me the $50 for the flaps! Never expected that, but i'll take it just the same.
