I'm slowly rebuilding my 84' 250R and notice the forks are bent, is this common and should I move forward or stop and get some that are not bent?

It's a fairly common practice to have them straightened.

Any ideas of who might do this? I'm completely new to this sorta thing.

A local machine shop should be able to handle it, or if you don't have anyone in your area send Dirtcrasher a PM. I'm sure he could handle that.

not trying to step on anyones toes but I'd upgrade them to an 85-86 set and forget about the 84 forks

I'll get ahold of dirtcrasher is I can't find someone in my area. Thanks for everyones ideas and I would like to put 85' or 86' forks up front but that means new tree, new forks, and new front wheel. I'll save that for later, cash flow is very very limited.
