--OEM finish on an '87 200X Gas Tank???

Does the OEM finish on an '87 200X gas tank look like a slight cream color?? I have my '87 and the tank is 100% mint and there r sonmany things that r still original on the trike that I don't think it has been redone. It's very thick and smooth. I wonder if from age it kind of dis-colors like that and I am wondering if that is common.

i remember mine being very very white still before i painted it.

it definitely is white. just up against the tank shrouds, it looks just so slightly off white. it really doesnt look re-painted. its very thick and smooth, almost like ceramic looking
