Picked up a Yamaha YTM 200, shaft drive with reverse today.. I changed all the fluids, cleaned the carb, air filter etc.. took it for a spin and noticed the clutch was slipping.. the guy who sold it to me swore up and down there was ZERO problems with the transmission.. Maybe I put in the wrong type of oil?? Do these semi auto clutches prefer a certain oil? I didn't have much Rotella T left over so I mixed it with some 30w non detergent.. Would that cause slippage? Or should I adjust something?

I use Valvoline ATV oil.

I looked around for some atv oil today but didn't see any, i'll probably have to goto the arctic cat or Ski-doo dealer to get some atv rated oil... I changed it again this morning with regular Castrol 10w30, not the energy saving stuff.. I drove the trike around the yard and noticed the clutch still slipped in some spots.. I'll try adjusting the clutch like the manual says and see what happens..
