View Full Version : Found a good rear master cylinder to use on the tiger(brand new)
While on my off time at work browsing for replacements for the missing rear master cylinder on my tiger. After looking at no telling how many i found one that seems to be a almost 100% replacement for the original tiger master cyl. Yesterday while i was home i test fitted it and everything lines up. Only thing that will have to be changed out or fabbed up is the brake linkage. The one that is on it goes over the top, it needs to go under.

What's the problem, you can still get the brake stuff from grimeca.

Am I crazy or is that arse backwards? That setup as it is has to be pushed to work, you need it to pull.
Can it be flipped around and modded??

I was thinking you couldn't find the master cylinder anymore. I have looked under that name but can never find a master cylinder that looks like the one used on the tiger.

Yes i plan on making my own new arm for it where it goes under the bottom. I had it on the trike for mock up, that is why the factory lever is still on it.

Except for the Tiger made parts, all the other parts are readily available from the original makers. Magura 1/4 turn throttle. The front forks and stuff you can still get from Storz racing. I had a website for all the brake stuff, brand new, except for the discs and even rebuild kits for the master cylinders as well. Answer handlebars. The original fox twin clicker or works shocks are hard to find, but you could get perfectly acceptable shocks from current shock companies. Seat foam is 200x and you can still get plenty of seat covers from different makers. Fiberglass repop fenders from blue27. You can even still get new bosch ignition parts, but they aren't cheap. The forks are marzocchi and cerriani, and they seem to come in different diameters, so you have to check what you have. You can use 83-85 200x rear axles and parts if you need to.
