Went to the GNC Quad Nationals yesterday at Southwick and saw at least 4 guys with New Turf Tamers for 75$ a pair 18 and 8" rims. I was fairly sure I had 9" rims so I couldn't buy any but man was that cheap or what??

Used Turf Tamers were about 30$ a pair and many of them were there.

Tire of choice for QUADS seemed to be Maxxis Razors or ITP holeshots - that was 90% of the tires running at a very sandy Southwick course.

yes holeshots are great for quads. personally i feel they get too much traction for trikes. remember trikes have more weight on the rear then do quads. quads need a more agressive tire then trikes because of this.

75.00 a pair is a good price

another tire to consider is the kenda klaw and knarly. i have not used them yet but they look to have the right combination of traction and slidability

i got ITP holeshots on my 350x they're great, but for my next pick of tires i want either turf tamers or the kenda klaws. Kenda make really nice tires.

I will agree that the Holeshots are too agressive, at least from an 86 Tecate perspective. They had too much grip for a stock swingarmed 2nd gen. T3. I have some Trail Claw II 20x11x10 on now and like them very much. Just the right compromise between slip & grip. Not sure if they are even avilable anymore though.
