Finally I got a line on a Red 1970 US90 not too far from me. Some of you know this is what I'm looking for, a 1970 of every colour:p After talking to the guy it sounded like something worth buying, even though he wants $1,000 for it. Im told it comes with a spare engine and other parts. Once the pics were sent I seen a 72-73 on a 70 frame in rough condition. What do you guys think?

From that picture the tires make it look like its been sitting in either a mudhole, or a flooded basement.

$1000 he's in fantasy land. That trike isn't anywhere near $1000, maybe more like $150 at MOST.

Even an orange ATC 90 I could buy for $250 from a localer with good original tires, and the orange ones apparently are the rare ones.

rough for $1000...and i agree with dcreel, theres two sets of water lines on the front tire..they may have even been flat. the tire condition is it`s greatest value and if they aren`t good, the value drops dramatically

looks like it`s missing some things....did he take a pic of the other side?

on the plus side, he`s close enough to you to go look at it

Wow, if you guys can get those for 150$ I will buy all of them up. It is worth 500 if the tires hold air. If the tires were in amazingly good shape then yes 1000$. They don't look that great but they are holding air.

The tank is nice and clean and the front fender is also in good shape. I like it but 1k is a bit steep.

I think $400.00 is a good price for that machine. Even if the tires hold air, they are worn, dirty and looks as if they had been sitting in a swamp.

Somebody said the orange ones are the "rare ones"? I have one of them with the original tires on it...was a freebie sitting in my grandfather-in-law's farm shed...runs like a champ...I'd sell it WAAAAAY cheaper than $1000 and there are NO tears in the original seat and all the tires hold air, just one is a little checked...I only paid $100 for my 77 and it's in almost mint condition...I'd tell that dude to take a hike! That is not worth $200 around here...

I only say that because I have never heard of ANYONE around here, or any of the other 3 wheeler/ATV sites with one. For all I know, they could have made just as many of the Orange ones as they did the other colors hwen the orange came out.

You're the first I've heard! You gotta send me some pics of that orange one :) :w00t:

I'll do that, it's pretty cool...I actually thought maybe the paint was faded or something when we brought it home but it's just orangy, lol

I apologize in advance for these terrible pictures but I will get some better ones in daylight tomorrow...I have it a little apart right now doing some clean up work to it...the rear plastic is NOT the original, just something I threw on it temporarily...May give you an idea...Not sure if you can tell it's orange but like I said will get some better pics once it's put together and the original fenders on it...

Yeah, get some better pics. I'm sure we'd all like a change from the usual red, yellow and green we've been seeing lately :D

lol, I'll do that tomorrow, actually won't be dark when I get home! I really thought this thing was sun faded or something but it's still glossy over all the paint on the tank and everything so I'm sure it's the right color...it's not like pumpkin orange but it's definately more orange than red, lol...

that one is a 74 daydona orange us 90 these early 70-74 us 90s dont bring the big money unless there 100% correct and real nice and dry cracks or 1 patch in the tire is the diffrence between a $30 tire and a $500 tire even with good tread

Actually, I was talking to the local who had the daytona orange 90 earlier today.

His plan is to restore it to the original condition. I didn't get to look at it up close, but the paint looks pretty good, and so did all the fenders and decals. Probably a few weekends worth of work to get it back to OEM condition, but the tires are blown and done for. He claimed to have another pair set aside for it, with the original molding nipples on it, never used. Said a honda restoration expert tried to buy them for 5 grand, but he denied it.

I have to go and check it out sometime, to see if it's all actually true, because all I know is that he's got a daytona orange us 90 sitting out underneath trees (as well as about 20 other trikes).

The one I posted is near perfect when I put the original fenders on it...I'd happily sell it for less than $500 and all the tires hold air...1 tire has 1 patch on it and the tread is fine...I know where there's another one like it that I could get nearly free...
