83 200x problems

hi all I just baught an 83 200x for 300.00
guy said it ran but smoked lots n it made
noise on the bottom end he said it was the timing
chain I crank it over I can hear it on the top end
he also said that it smoked bad at the moment I cant
get it running I noticed the air/fuel screw is all the way in need healp

turn the air/screw mixture out 2 1/4 turns and go from there. If it's all the way in, it's going to idle HIGH.

As for the noise, it's probably your valves. Adjust them. The smoke is probably because it needs new rings.

its the idle screw not the air/fuel screw just thought id clear that up.

ok I know where the idle screw is there's one screw facing the jug that one is turned all the way tight I got it to turn halph way but now it's cold n dark
what it needs: rear swingarm (was modified n welded) checked the timing chain it's tight there wasn't any oil put some in w stopleak oil treatment
tmw I'll try to get it going
