I'm sure this has been done before and probably in a couple of different ways, but here is a pic of the spacers I put in from a 98 300 Fourtrax. I didn't see any factory spacers for a Big red? The part number I used is 81308-958-680. I think they were less than $10.00 each and they fit perfectly; they even have a knob that goes into the hole on the clamp.

It would only make sense that spacers would be there, but the parts schematic on Servicehonda.com doesn't show anything for an 84 BR? I guess I'm not telling anybody anything new:-(
