carb adjustment crews on atc70

having issues with my atc70 carb. the adjustment screws seem to be doing nothing. the idle adjust doesnt change the rpms of the engine. i have cleaned the carb a buch of times and still cant seem to put my finger on it. any ideas???

im starting to think that maybe the gas is bad. i tried everything else. i will go a round with it again tomorrow...wish me luck!

Take the carb apart and make sure the slide moves up and down freely, going ALL the way down, otherwise the idle won't change.

i figured it out but it doesnt make sense at all. the air/fuel mix screw is out in my hand and she runs like a top. can any body make sense of this. 62 jet with aftermarket intake, new points, condensor.
