I got stopped and ticketed for loud exhaust on my stock 86 250r with a FMF fatty and a turbine core muffler. I was going to get a 330 pv, 3mm stroker crank, esr pipe and bigger carb but not til I know what muffler configuration I can use and pass no problem its $186 each time for the ticket and no exceptions in Wisconsin from the Dnr. I talked with the performance shop here and he sugested getting a stock take off and fabing it up to fit. Is the stock 450r mufflers serviceable?

thanks

Honestly, there HUGE and have a tiny opening.

Send KASEY a PM and see what his thoughts are, I'm sure he's dealt with noise restrictions.

One F$%#$#@@! way or another, they'll stop us from riding.....

I have a TRX250R FMF "Q" silencer I bought on ebay. It fits but could use some custom work to make it look factory (it hangs over to the side as stock, but if you cut the feed on the silencer it will pull back. It looks a little silly but it does work, not as quiet as the stocker but not as loud as the powercore. I'll see it to you for what I paid here, $65+ship if you want it.

That is odd you got pinched the the FMF set up. I ran the same combo on my zilla ay Silver Lake and had no problems on the decibal meter. I'm working on a 86 r right now and am wondering which route to go with the exhaust system. I don't think the 450 exhaust would work well, plus it weighs a ton. (I recently sold my 450r). Karl

How's it going with this Q series? I swore I will never repack another silencer in my life again.
