My 250R has reverse!

Still struggling to get this '84 250r running right. This time the flywheel spun on the shaft - breaking the woodruff key. The funny thing is I didn't know it but it spun 180 degrees and when I got it started, put it in gear - it went backwards!:lol:

if you fire up a small 2stroke that was reeds going back worlds it will do that. there was a video on youtube of a kawasaki kdx 175 what was doing it

I got the timing fixed (i think) so no video, sorry. Now if I could only get this thing to run....argh.

Was it it accompanied by a loud Backfire when it started?....Might want to take a close look at the head and basegasket.
