I recently pulled the top end off of my 81 250r because the compression was getting low(120psi) and it was hard to start.I checked the reeds and they were fine.I am planning on going through the whole motor, but i would like to know what you guys think of wiseco pistons. My parts guy said I should stay away from them because the rings and the ring lands are too thin. What are my options? The cylinder is already 2nd over. The next question is what do you guys think of hot rods connecting rods?I do ride this thing hard and I want it to hold together.Any guidance would be greatly appriciated

i have never had a problem with wiseco, i have heard of people saying they are no good, but its all b.s. yea maybe theres better ones, maybe not. aslong as its instaled properly and you actually check your ring gap you will never have a problem with a wiseco piston.

Wiseco has been around forever. I have never had any problems whatsoever with their pistons and rings. I've never used a Hot Rods rod kit but I've never heard anything bad about them.

same here, use them all the time.
I have used Hot rods cranks and they work just fine.
