Been contemplating a 3 wheeler purchase for some time now and finally pulled the trigger.
I am just picking this up on Thursday, its a good runner, decent shape....planning on a full resto...stripped down to the bare and built back up again.
All plastics are there and not damaged, scratched and faded tho.

I will try to wet sand the plastics to bring them back to life, however if I am not happy with the results I may buy new ones.
This will not be a stock resto, planning on a few upgrades. I apologize in advance for my ignorance in terminology and knowledge of this particular bike and the upgrades I think I want.

Is there any one place I can get most of the upgrades from, besides ebay in general ? But a particular ebay store ok, would prefer someone with a phone number to be reached at.
Looking at 310 engine kits, chrome pipe, extended swingarm, wider axle, new plastics, maybe some billet odds and ends, rims, sprockets...etc. ?
I realize this particular trike may be limited to available parts....but I gotta start somewhere.
Anyway....here's a pic of her....

Why don't you ride her first, to see how she performs, before throwing down cash on rebuilding the engine? :)

I figured while I'll have the bike tore down completely to powdercoat the frame, I may as well do up the engine.

Wow finally get to see what the fender flares look like! My 85 has the holes drilled in the fenders in the same spots so it must of had the flares too at one time. Never seen a pic of them before got any better angles of them? Nice bike by the way! Looks like a solid builder to start with.

Nice looking Z.....really miss mine. Check out the new product, research and development thread for parts. Sprock racing also makes a 330 kit for the Z. Oh, and listen to Raffa, he's our resident Z guru...Welcome to the site.

What a disgusting beast. There is no way you're ever gonna get that thing looking decent. The only option is to ship it to me for proper disposal.

Seriously though, awesome trike. I've been looking within a 200 mile radius of my house for a year for a Tri-Z, so far.....nuthin'!!!

Here's some more pics, one of the ever elusive Yamali....er, CaseLogic tool bag, very rare only 4.5 million produced in this particular size to match the headlight guard.....against my better judgement I am taking it off the bike so it'll be up for grabs if anyone wants to throw me an offer. I do have a $0.25 reserve price on it so bid accordingly.

I had a good conversation with Cory Sprock today, we're going with his 330 kit, ported, 39 PWK, billet clutch basket, +4 swingarm, DG Pipe and Silencer, some bars, levers and other odds and ends.
Complete tear down of the bike, powder coat the frame black and all black plastics as well.

Engine is coming out as we speak....Should be a fun ride.

DAYUM!!! You don't waste time do ya? You're gonna mess around and make it onto my list of heros. It would take me at least a month of labeling and bagging to get there. Keep the pics coming.
