No timing marks in 200x mtor????

So I went to adjust the valves on the 200x tonight and when I was manually rotating the motor to find TDC I never saw any timing marks. Has anyone come across this before?? I looked through the timing mark hole with a flashlight and saw nothing.

They are pretty small it could be possible that they got scratched off some how. Take off the flywheel cover and do it that way.

Ya I'm gonna take off this morning and see if I can see anything better.

If you take out your spark plug and stuff a straw (or similar) in there, rotate till TDC you can find T and then it may be easier to see.

If you have the cover off, sand off any rust and then use a dremel or sharp file to indicate "T" and "F" a bit more obvious.

There are 2 TDC's in a 4 stroke, you know which one to set the valves on I hope...........

They are hard to see on the flywheel... Almost on the outside rim

Ya thanx guys I took off the side case and could see them just fine. Got it adjusted...kicked it about 60 times and it sputtered a few times, my leg can't take anymore. So i'm gonna sell the motor just the way it is. i just don't have time to monkey with it.
