i found a 350x but...

ok, now i finally got some $$$ and i found a 85 350x on craigslist its a runner, some cracked plastics and a couple tears in the seat bit shes supposed to be pretty nice (of course, everything in a craigslist ad is gospel) but he has $1400 on it and i want some opinions on if you guys think this is good price? the only other ones i ever seen for sale are for $2200-$2500 but thier like mint.

$1400 + seat cover + $200 rear maier fenders = not a great deal. A good shape one for $1200 would be.

I got mine for under $400, but the frame was messed up, smoked, no rear brake, plastics horrendous.

But later I lucked out on a good frame and tons of other parts. Essentially that means my frame gets gusseted, painted, all new fenders, top end, lots of other parts for less than the one you're looking at. I wanted a different color scheme that stock, so it was worth it for me. If you're looking for a good rider as it is, I'd think you'd be able to find one for under $1400 if you keep looking. Talk him down if you want this one.

the 350x's in my area are at 1200 at average.
